Remember 9-11 ("a 911 Call" )

IN MEMORY AND HONOR OF ALL THE HEROES,
PAST AND PRESENT, Sept.- 11-2001.

A 911 CALL

Nine--one--one, 2001,
a quiet and peaceful day;
when no one thought and no one sought:
to see what's on the way.

'Twas Tuesday morn' we were not warned
of shock that lay ahead.
We went about our daily route
in living lives we led.
And in the air in New York there,
came forth a grim surprise;
for aeroplanes engulfed in flames
turned all eyes to the skies;
for evil men committing sin
had crushed our buildings down;
and people fled and people bled
in horror so profound.

When came the surge, Heroes emerged,
and many of them died;
for in that quake, their lives at stake,
the Firemen rushed inside.

It was too late, with too much weight--
the structures soon collapsed;
and many friends and citizens
lay buried in the mass.

They are the brave, true ones who save,
Firefighters and Police;
they, who die in fighting fire,
and those who keep the peace.

And don't forget another jet
hijacked by cunning foe;
flew down upon the Pentagon
and dealt a stunning blow!

Where lives were lost at one high cost,
as smoke plumes filled the air;
and then 'twas known three sites were blown,
and made us all aware.

Then, news arrived that others died
when fourth plane crashed below;
because brave men who fought within
had overthrown the foe;
and you can bet the terrorist threat
had sights on Washington;
and to those men who hog--tied them,
our gratitude they won.

With broken hearts and tears that start,
we swore we shall unite;
we made it clear we have no fear,
and now its time to fight!

Just as you read, the missiles speed;
the war has just begun,
and it won't stop until they pop
and justice shall be done!
