Post Not Sammy Too...Is Being Black Really That Bad??

It's official, an inside source close to former Chicago Cub Sammy Sosa reports that the baseball icon has in fact received cosmetic surgery for his skin. The source went on to report that Sosa had no medical condition that required the surgery and that all procedures he underwent were in fact by choice. And as far as the new eyes Sosa is sporting these days those are just his baby blue removable contacts which didn't involve any surgical procedure.

Only thing I have to add to this sad commentary is a question- What Happened to Loving Your Skin? Sosa isn't the only one either, several folk are electively going through this skin enhancement procedure... rich and poor. And the ones who thought skin change was over-the-top are just doing what Tiger Woods did a few years ago- going deep out of their way to distance themself from any connection to their dark race, which is simply crazy!!

I am the darkest of my father's children but two months ago a tattoo artist told me that my skin wasn't really black, but medium brown. But you know what though I have told EVERYBODY that ask and will continue to do so that my skin is BLACK!! Cause really a dude don't got the time to play the corny game of "Whats The Best Shade of Black". Life too short and the Black race been through far too much...really!! I say love your skin regardless of it's complexion. And remember too: Your skin can be as light as that of Mariah Carey or as dark as that of Taye Diggs, either way, at the end of the night you are still regarded as BLACK!!! So lets stop all the "my skin is betta than your skin dialogue". Isn't there already enough races claiming that feat anyways??
