Just be glad we're not...

...Florida State - a team that has curiously mastered the art of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!

...Clemson - who's perennial goal of being the third best football team in South Carolina has again been achieved in their astute choice of Dabo Swinney over Bud Foster (thank you, thank you, thank you).

...North Carolina - where Butch Davis has, without a doubt, assembled the most underachieving group of 4 and 5 start recruits in all of 1-A football.

So, Tech fans, just be glad that your beloved Hokies again found a way to win a tough game over a surprisingly good Duke team. And maybe, just maybe, cut coaches Beamer and Steinspring some slack from the steady stream of criticism. They may not win big and they may not win pretty, but year in and year out they find a way to win more games than the majority of coaches in the country.

Kudos to Tyrod for a flat-out awesome game - the best of your career. And hats off to a classy move by Frank Beamer to give Josh Olgesby the opportunity to shine in front of friends and family in North Carolina.

Finally, coaches Foster, Wiles and Gray - time for some serious fanny chewing this week. Stupid penalties, blown coverges and missed tackels are not the hallmarks of the Lunch Pail Defense.
