COMCAST SPORTSNET TO AIR 2009 NCAA DIVISION I BASEBALL REGIONAL GAMES LIVE; BEGINS TONIGHT WITH UVA VS. SDSU


Airing Tonight on CSN: Game 1 of the Irvine Regional - University of Virginia vs. San Diego State

Airing Saturday and Sunday: Game 4, Game 5 and Game 6


Bethesda, MD (May 29, 2009) - Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, will air Game 1 of the Irvine Regional at the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship tonight live at 7 p.m. The game will feature second-seeded University of Virginia (43-12-1) against third-seeded San Diego State (40-21), which features the nation’s top pitching prospect Stephen Strasburg, who is scheduled to start tonight. Strasburg is expected to be selected by the Washington Nationals with the top pick in the June 9 Major League Baseball draft. This will be Strasburg’s television debut throughout the region.
The network will also air Game 4 of the regional on Saturday live at 11 p.m. featuring the Game 1 winner vs. the Game 2 loser. On Sunday, May 31, Comcast SportsNet will air both Games 5 and 6 live at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. respectively.

CSN will air the below NCAA Div. 1 Baseball Regional games live this weekend from Irvine, Cal.:
Friday, May 29
Game 1: 3 San Diego State (40-21) vs. 2 Virginia (43-12-1), 7 p.m.


Saturday, May 30
Game 4: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 11 p.m.


Sunday, May 31
Game 5: Game 4 loser vs. Game 3 winner, 7 p.m.
Game 6: Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 11 p.m.
